I have a database with a form, on the form I have a command button which
opens a subform. How do I link the form and the subform together for it to
populate the record ID?

Not enough information.

Few "databases" have "forms". Are you using an integrated front-end manager
like MSAccess?

As for 'linking forms' and 'populating fields'

I'm guessing they are using Access (as per subject) but what it's doing
in the ms.pub.vb.directx I don't know Smile

The average lifespan of electronic devices is between zero and infinity, or 2 days after the warranty runs out, whichever comes first.
