I'm running Outlook 2003 on my XP x64 2003 Edition SP2 desktop and receive
the following error when attempting to open the "Outlook Today" page:
Failed to load resource DLL C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\System\Ole
DB\OLEDB32R.DLL
Searches on both the MS KB and Google have failed to find any relevant
information on this error.
Attempts to register the OLEDB32R.DLL with regsvr32 succeed although
attempting to do the same with the OLEDB32.DLL gives the above error message.
Using the MDAC Component Checker to review MDAC file versions gives an
interesting result, with files being identified as belonging to either the
'MDAC 2.8 SP2 ON WINDOWS SERVER 2003 SP1' distribution or 'UNKNOWN'. This
presumably results from new files brought in by x64 SP2. A quick trawl
through the MS website has failed to turn up a new version of MDAC for x64
SP2.
Any help you can give on how I might remove this error would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike
