hi there......

I have small doubt as in ....is it possible to give a scan
document(using Hp Scanner twain compatible) option in Windows Xp...if
yes then how?

The other option is to use WIA to access the scanner, which can be done by
downloading the WIA for scripting SDK from MS. This works with winxp sp1 or
later only.

Yes, you can use a third part twain component (eg leadtools) or you can use
the twain api directly. The second method is quite complicated and I'm not
sure it would work in vb6 as twain uses a bit of a odd method of calling
it's api.
