i am thinking of making an ActiveX component, used in a HTMLpage, where
users can download files to their client.

Source of those files must provided by an http address, so even from other
websites can be downloaded.

Q:
1. Is it possible to call (post to?) a website and retrieve the requested
data. ?
2. Is this possible too with some address like http://www,balabl/file.txt
