I have been using Outlook 2003 for a few years in Windows XP. However, it has
suddenly produced an error message when I try to open it, preventing me
opening Outlook.
The error message is:
"Unable to open your default e-mail folders. an OLE registration error
occurred. The program is not correctly installed. Run Setup again for the
program."

I have tried uninstalling the whole of Microsoft Office and re-installing
it, but this had no affect.
I have also tried running a repair on my .pst file. Although this apparently
repaired errors it had no affect on the OLE error.

I would appreciate any help or advice regarding this problem from anybody.

Thanks

More than likely it is IExplorer that is having the problem. Reinstall it.
Note: you also have to install Outlook Express whether you use it or not.

After reinstalling IE you will likely have to reinstall Office as well. It
occasionally takes several shots. ie, don't skip any requests for a CD.

This is best posted in an Outlook newsgroup.
